ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ​

Kirkstall Abbey Comedy Festival is the first large-scale open air comedy festival to take place in Leeds. Comedy will run continuously throughout the day with an MC in between sets.
Date & Times
This year's comedy festival will take place on Sunday 26th July 2026.
Gates will open at 2pm and the show is expected to end at 9:30pm.
Last entry is 7:45, anybody arriving after this time may be refused entry.
Full stage times are released closer to the event.
Age Restrictions
Due the likelihood of strong adult language, subject matter and themes, entrance is restricted to those 16 and over. If anyone in your booking looks younger than 16, please remind them to bring some ID. Refunds are not available for tickets purchased by or attempted to be used by persons who are not provided access due to their age.
Prohibited Items
Your safety is paramount, and we continuously liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure robust security measures are in place. To ensure this is a safe environment mandatory bag searches will be carried out and we may search you, your clothing or other items.
Several items are prohibited, these include but are not exhausted to:

Food & Drink – should you need to bring an item of food or drink with you due to medical or religious requirements, please contact the event organiser prior to arrival.

Foldout blankets, rugs, inflatable loungers, or any other seating are not permitted, except for customers with general admission tickets, who may bring one foldable camping chair each.

TICKET INFORMATION

Postcode pre-sale
Residents with postcodes LS4, LS5, LS13 & LS18 are entitled to an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale when a limited number of tickets will be released ahead of general sale.
Postcode presale tickets must be purchased through the 'postcode presale link'.
Step 1 > Select ‘Tickets’ on the menu.
Step 2 > Click ‘postcode pre-sale’ from the dropdown.
Step 2 > Enter the first part of your postcode (LS4, LS5, LS13, LS18) into the 'use code' box.
Step 3 > Select your choice of ticket type and proceed to purchase.

Please note, the first part of your postcode must match the billing address used at time of purchase.

Premium Admission Seated Ticket

Dedicated Premium Entry Lane (please note this opens at the same time as general admission gates).
Premium Hang Out Area with Private bar products

Exclusive access to the front block of seats, closest to the stage

General Admission Seated ticket
Includes:
Access to unreserved seating
Chairs will be provided

General Admission ticket
This is a general admission event, and no chairs will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own foldable camping chairs. However, rugs, stools, or any other types of furniture are not permitted within the venue.
Accessible Viewing Platform Ticket
For wheelchair and mobility scooter users and those who for medical reasons are unable to stand at all during the show. Chairs can be provided in this area for those who need them and there are accessible toilets in this area.

Accessible Ambulant Seated Area Ticket
A ground level seating area for those who for medical reasons may need to use a seat at some points during the show. This area is not a viewing platform. Chairs will be provided for those who need them and there are accessible toilets in this area.
General Admission Accessible Ticket
​This ticket allows access to the general admission area. There is no seated access but does includes use of all accessible facilities, except those in the Accessible Ambulant Area and on the Accessible Viewing Platform. Guests are welcome to bring their own foldable camping chairs. However, rugs, stools, or any other types of furniture are not permitted within the venue.

Please be aware there is no readmission after entry.

ON THE DAY FACILITIES
​
Food & Drink
Food and drink may not be brought into the event. However, a wide range of food and drink options will be available inside, catering to all dietary requirements.
​
Customers are permitted to bring one empty refillable plastic water bottle (up to 500ml in size), which can be refilled at designated points. Alternatively, customers may bring one unopened plastic water bottle (up to 500ml) into the event.
Should you need to bring an item of food or drink with you due to medical or religious requirements, please email access@futuresoundgroup.com prior to arrival to arrange.

Seating
Chairs will be provided for customers with ‘Premium/General Admission Seated tickets’. Customers with General Admission Tickets are permitted to bring one foldable camping chair each.

Weather
Kirkstall Abbey Comedy Festival is an open-air event, please plan for the weather. Small personal umbrellas are permitted but large golf umbrellas are not.

Kirkstall Abbey has 2 local train stations nearby; KirkFtcstall Forge is located approximately 1.3 miles from Kirkstall Abbey and Headingley Station is approximately 0.7 miles. For train times and routes please visit here.
